About the artist
Jeanne was a finalist in the Portrait
Society of America's 2006
International Portrait Competition. Her portrait, "Ethan and George" was
one of just twelve paintings chosen for exhibition at the Society's
"Art of the Portrait" convention in Dallas, and received an Honor Award.

For this achievement, she was profiled in the October/November
2006 issue of International Artist magazine.
Ms. Ciravolo's most recent portrait commissions include State of Connecticut
Appellate Court Judge Socrates MIhalakos and Wendy Sharp, Director of
Chamber Music at Yale University.
Jeanne has served on the Council
of the Connecticut Women Artists
since 2007. She is a juried member of the National Association of Women
Artists and a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society and the Portrait
Society of America.
Jeanne studied with Harvey Dinnerstein
at the Art Students'
League of New York for three years and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree from the University of Miami. She has exhibited in many group
shows in the northeast, including The National Arts Club and the
Salmagundi Club in New York City where she won awards for her work.
She was awarded Best in Show by Everett Raymond Kinstler at the
Brush and Palette Club's Portrait Exhibition
in New Haven, CT in 2001
and the First Place Award from Daniel Greene at The Portrait : An Open
Juried Exhibition held in New Haven, Connecticut in June 2008.
Jeanne lives with her husband
and children in Connecticut.
